The Glimmering Figure design stands out with its unique use of greyscale color tones and linear divisions. The combination of black, grey, and white creates a modern and simple visual style that sets it apart from other residential designs. The walls are adorned with square and round metal modeling surfaces, complemented by indirect lighting, adding a touch of elegance to the space.

One of the strengths of this design is the seamless flow between different areas. The designer observed the original space and removed the compartment wall in the open-ended study, creating a smooth traffic flow between the entryway, living room, study, and kitchen. This open-end method not only enhances the sense of space but also encourages interaction and hospitality.

The Glimmering Figure design is realized using a combination of high-quality materials, including marble stones, special paints, baking paints, metal surface plates, Changhong glasses, diamond-shaped bricks, LED light strips, and solid wood veneer. These materials contribute to the overall aesthetic and functionality of the space.

The design specifications for the Glimmering Figure project include a 40 ping indoor area, which encompasses the entryway, living room, study, kitchen, master bedroom, and secondary bedroom. Each area is carefully designed to serve its specific function while maintaining a cohesive overall look.

Ching Lin Yu, along with Jian-Hong Luo, is the mastermind behind the Glimmering Figure design. Their attention to detail and understanding of the client's lifestyle and function requirements have resulted in a space that is not only visually appealing but also highly functional. The open-end method used in the design allows for easy interaction between different areas, making it ideal for hosting guests.

The Glimmering Figure design was completed in September 2020 in Taiwan. Extensive research was conducted to ensure that the design met the client's requirements and incorporated the latest trends in modern residential design. The use of primary colors, the application of indirect lighting, and the careful selection of materials all contribute to the unique and sophisticated aesthetic of the space.

One of the challenges faced during the design process was the presence of a beam-column that passed through the living room and study. To overcome this challenge, the designer applied a neat and straight line to integrate the beam into the overall design. The result is a consistent ceiling modeling with a subtle height difference that creates a hidden borderline between each area.

The Glimmering Figure design is a testament to the client's keenness for a modern style and the designer's ability to bring that vision to life. The combination of greyscale color tones, clean lines, and the interplay of lights and shadows creates a space that is both visually captivating and inviting. This design has been recognized with the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2022, showcasing its outstanding creativity and contribution to quality of life improvements.
